Wineguard Aerial

Recommended Posts

We are only able to receive SBS digital with our Wineguard wind up(TV TESTED AND OK)and I have been told that they are designed for horizontal signal and the area that we are in Hervey Bay has veritical signal. Aerial is 5 years old

Is this correct, has anyone had this issue and how can it be fixed.

Greetings all.

Honestly this is not a sales pitch.

We installed a Saturn aerial on our new van with an inbuilt next G aerial. We also opted for the electric raise and swivel options.

TV reception is strong both analog and digital and we have had reception in areas where the Wineguards were not performing at all.

We are currently rained in at Tilpa on the Darling NSW.There is no tv with the exception of Satellite of course.

Mobiles don't work without aerials.

We installed the Saturn and another next G aerial on a marine swivel. Here at Tilpa we have no bars without aerial, with the Saturn 1 bar and the swivel aerial 3 bars. Thus the internet is on the next G swivel and the phone is happy on the Saturn.

Love it ;)

Hi,

I had the same problem but found the button next to the 12V power outlet which drives the booster was not turned on. Should be a little green light. Maybe check this

I'm not sure if your Winegard aerial has one but they now have a Wingman add-on. (I am not sure about horizontal & vertical signals).

Hi, we installed the Wingman attachment to our existing Winegard(no tools needed 4 simple push in plugs 5 minutes max) it claims to improve Digital reception we have not been out of the city to test this so far. Regards Mark and Simone

I decided to do away with aerials and purchased a dish ($78.00) and a Vast box ($300). Now I have perfect reception of every free to air channel in Australia, including HD, from anywhere in the country.

Hi We have had problems with our wiring in the wineguard and have ben using our strong satelite box until we obtained a Vast box several months ago.Currently in Queensland and am enjoying perfect pictures from all over. Miss something special in one state pick it up from another at the same time schedule in another state. No adds on 7 or 10 unless the add is from the NT and all adds on 9 as it emanates from the NT. Scenes from various states instead of adds but the music is a bit mournfull. The mute button comes in handy here and you realise how long the add breaks are waiting for the show to recommence. Great to catch all digital and HD channels and very easy to set up.Well worth the $278 for the box.
