  1. Hi Lea & Rick Our Kick Off point for the "Trip" is going to be the Kedron do at Noosa Northshore, form there we will be heading up to N.T. taking abou 5-7 days to reach our favorite fishing spot at Towns River - just below Roper Bar. We will then head south a pinch to Lorella Springs ( went there last yr , had a ball) for a spot more of fishing. & some more soaking in the Hot Springs there , only difficulty with that is keeping the drinks cold. From there we're planning on heading back across the Savannah Way to Kingfisher Camp > Adels Grove - depending on the money & enthusaism level may do a month or so of work????? We will then slowlty work our way back to Brissy to check on things , catch up with friends & family in time to host the wine w/end at Stanthorpe in August. !!! Then heading further south for the Kedron do in November in the High Country of Vic >>> X-mas in Geelong with Elle's sister & then off to Tassie >>>>>> That is all going well a basic idea of what we think we will do. Cheers Blackie PS > see you in the Gulf for a spot of fishing ????

  7. Hi Chris & Val just saw your posting about a new van CONGRATULATIONS - now the wait!! I wanted to be sure you had the right info , our van is a front entry which is what gives me the lovely deep bench space near my stove & sink. Our van is still on track for mid /end March can't wait. I've done the new layout as an attachment - only 79 days 'til we leave, we are going to use the Noosa North Shore w/end as our jump off point. Looking forward to seeing you at the Imbil get-together. Kind regards Elle & Shane

  10. I guess the title gives it away. Yes the Blackers are hosting a Wine Weekend up at Stanthorpe. It will be on the 15-17th August when we are back through here again. Bring your woolies. This last weekend we stayed at Sommerville Tourist Park on the side of Storm King Dam & just thoroughly loved it. The sites are generously proportioned & the area is lovely. The hosts were also most accomodating. We did a full day tour of the wineries & other points of interest, and we felt we really got value for money. Hope you can join us, we have had to limit it to 25 vans to fit all in the bus (47 seating). Full details and how to register on the KOG Trips Page. Cheers Blackie & Elle
  11. Hi Chris & Val, oh that would be great ,BUT we as we speak now 80 days from our departure day. We are loking forward to catching up with you both at either(or both) the Imbil & Noosa Kedron do's coming up. Our new van is still on track for the end of March so we are actually using the Noosa w/end as our departure w/end. Sounds like a nice spot where you are now. GPS co-ordinates??? We are going to pick the brains of everyone for their favorite camping spots. Catch up soon , safe travels. Kind Regards Elle & Shane :
  12. Greetings All, We spotted a new white 200 with a TopEnder behind it today between Stanthorpe & Warwick heading south & who should it be but Kimbo & his new 200. Not realising at first as we thought the van was a different color, all of a sudden the phone rang & it was the distinct voice of Kimbo up us for not answering the radio. (we were on a chat channel with the van we were travelling with) Poor phone coverage & out radio range we had a stilted conversation that he was on his way home from Mackay. The van & 200 made a good combo & seemed to look good at 140 kph on the Hwy. PS when you get home Kimbo give Ivan & Gloria a call, they have a DVD for you that we made of the trip last year. Cheers Shane & Elle.
  13. Hi Sue & Graham We went through DGA Insurance Brokers 03 9679 9344, we have a Nissan with a Hummer Motor in it & a lot of other mods & accessories, this was no problem. Give them a call & see how you go. Regards Blackie
