Vitrifrigo wont go

Help. All packed up and ready to go and when I turned the vitrifrigo fridge on it wouldn't cool down and the on/off switch wouldn't work and the fridge remained on and running but not cooling even in the OFF position.

I checked it only a few weeks ago and it was working fine then. Now it seems to have packed it in'

Any suggestions on what the problem mught be and how to fix it.

Does anybody know a reliable fridge electrician in the North Brisbane area I can call for help

Hi Feildsie,

Sounds like the thermostat has failed. If the fridge is more than 5 years old I would regas it also to be on the safe side.

We replaced our thermostat and switch about 9 months ago(same symptoms).We had to get the part from a Camec Dealer in Canberra whose name escapes me now. But I did the job myself (so it must be easy) and the part was about $70.

Brent worked for the previous service agent for approx. 10 years.

He has just replaced the evaporator in our Vitrifrigo with the new style that eliminates

the gap at the top.

Very happy with his work.
