Rod and Mavis
Hi allFor those that were at Imbul and were interested in the Hobie peddle Kayaks or infact any canoe or kayak, we have just purchased a THULE HULLIVATOR rack loader. This is one great bit of gear that makes loading and unloading the boat a breeze.Have a look at the web site for info, or be at Noosa North for a demo.Ref http://www.thuleracks.com/featured_product_hullavator.aspHave a go at this Eric!Regards to all.Rod and Mavis. JETnomads
Oh dear. Just looked at the link you gave and they don't make them for a 2003 Nissan Patrol... How odd. Might have to wait till we get a Toyota. We need one that can deal with both the Hobie and the Tinny though. Has to be able to be used with both, depending on which way we are going, which one will come along with us.When you fine this one for us.. let us know. CheersEric
JETnomads
Hi Rod and MavisA couple of questions on your rack.I take it you bought the Hullivator?Do you have to lift the kayak half way up the vehicle to put it on the rack as the picture shows?Did you look a the loaders at Sunstate Hobie? I just checked anb unfortunately they don't have a loader for a 200 yet.CheersEric and Jody
Rod and Mavis
Hi Eric and Jody. Yes we bought the hullivator from Sunstate Hobie. He was $50 cheaper than anywhere else. You have to lift the boat to about waist height on the Toyota to sit it in the rack.It is so much easier than our last rack system.Rod and Mavis
