  8. For those who attended this trip last yr and in particular the Burdekin dam I have posted some pics of the dam wall with 6mtres of water flowing over the top http://www.kedronownersgroup.com/photos/th...astup&cat=0 Regards
  9. Yes I must agree with everyones comments above and a big congratulations to Webby for getting the site up and to the point it is today. But also without the members and their input the group would not be what it is today. Without the trip leaders being prepared to put their hands up to show us their little part of their backyard the group would only be a discussion page. The trips that we have attended over time and the upcoming trips that are on offer, are the envy of a lot of other groups and their members. Dont be shy ??If you think you have something to offer the group in a trip, talk to the moderators and we will help you along its easy Without the members input the group wouldn't exist. Regards
  10. Yes the bro was waterlogged by sea and on land

    Van Roof

I think you will find that this is normal. In my 1st van I noticed on hot days that there was an undulation in the rear wall below the window and on cooler days all was good and straight so expansion/contraction would explain all this. And it never ever caused an issue But as Tony says by all means give the guys at the factory a ring and be satisfied or book the van to be looked at if you arnt Regards
  12. Topender is haunted??? Regards
  13. Subject: Wisdom Of A Retiree (I love this guy) I've often been asked, 'What do you old folks do now that you're retired?' Well...I'm fortunate to have a few friends who have chemical engineering backgrounds, and one of the things we enjoy most is turning beer, wine, bourbon, and martinis into urine. Regards
  14. Hi Chris keep in touch as I have just returned from brissy yesterday after catching up with my son who now lives in Mackay. We, son and I are now trying to co ordinate the picking up of the 6 mtre fishing boat that he bought yesterday and could be around brissy same time as you both and it would be good to catch up even if only for short chat before we depart for Mackay. I can tell ya that it's bloody hard organising stuff so that we can get away on our 12 mth trip that has no plans other than travelling to the west and Dr's appointments and adult children LOL. Its just too hard but will work out Ok a fishin trip  then return home hook up and off we go  Good luck with new car (you wont be disapointed I can assure you)and the topender well that you know what to expect there and its all good
  15. Hi Tony The front suspension standard has a nose down effect anyhow, same as the 100 had and the only way to get rid of that look is to fit aftermarket suspension. You could possibly only fit a OME kit (50mm lift) to front only I think and this would level the car out I am extremely happy with my suspension upgrade allthough marginally stiffer then standard but I live with this because when I load the car up with boat and other gear the ride then becomes very much the same as when standard and I know that the aftermarket suspension will take the extra weight Regards
  16. Just found this that might interest our Qld members as it relates more to the Qld transport . The GVM Upgrade for 200 Series that are already Registered has been approved for Queensland (a first step, first State)... ********************************************************** Subject: GVM UPGRADE ON QLD REGISTERED VEHICLES Good morning We are very pleased to announce that QLD Transport have issued us with type approval # TA030 to perform GVM upgrades on QLD registered vehicles. This approval only applies to vehicles where we have previous DOTARS approval which is Toyota 200 SERIES 3580KG, Nissan GU LEAF 3700KG and 3900KG and Toyota 70 Series 3700KG. Previously a QLD transport Authorized officer blue modification plate was required to be fitted, but this is no longer the case. The procedure for placing your orders will be to order the relevant GVM UPGRADE part number with the prefix QLD to the part number i.e. QLD2003580. QLDGU3700 etc. (on an exclusive order please for filing purposes) and submit the following details on your purchase order. Registered owners name & address, phone number Registration Number Vin Number Make model Year. We will then issue the OME Authorized fitter a self voiding placard that must be affixed to the vehicle. We will also complete a QT supplied form which will then be lodged with QLD transport and send a copy of this form to the registered owner of the vehicle, which they will require, so that they may submit a change of registration details form with QLD TRANSPORT. The self voiding stickers will be ordered today and we should have them available in the next few weeks. If you have any questions, please contact myself or Allan Sharpley. Regards GUY BASILE ARB CORPORATION LTD 615 NUDGEE RD NUNDAH. QLD 4012 PH: 07 32663255 FAX: 07 32663288 regards

    ATV Wanted

Thanks John and Ann info passed on Regards
  18. Hi Ralph and Lizzy Yes I am using approx 1L /6000 klms I have had toyota do a report on it but they consider this well within what they consider normal and Im not overly concerned about this amount of usage either. The 280kg GVM upgrade is allowable once the suspension has been fitted and it was just a matter of getting the engineer to sign of on it. The reason I wanted to do this was was because the original suspension IMO is too soft and toyota genuine suspension has never been the greatest for real off rd work and once the accessories are fitted your GVM is compromised and the GVM ugrade just makes me feel that more comfortable when I'm travelling as I should be within my limits when Insurance co's start checking if I was to have an accident. The kit I had fitted has the parts listed in the original meesage above Regards

    ATV Wanted

Hi all Just had a call from a mate living in north Qld who is interested in buying a ATV Approx size being 19ftr if anybody has or knows anybody who is selling contact me and I will provide ph no's. Regards
  21. warranty is now taken over by ARB and OME regards suspension and no I wont need bigger rims found out how much 17" tyres are and they are too BLOOOODY much against the 16's. and off topic do you want me to talk to my mate re that HF before I leave for mitta??? is a great price I have been informed (for the AR model) thru my network Im actually thinking after you have 1st opportunity if you dont buy I might purchase it? Regards
  22. Hi all Just had the suspension upgraded to the Old man Emu 200kg constant with a 50mm lift, shocks fitted were the N208s front and the N210 rear with the 703 springs front with the 723 springs rear with poly air bags fitted and it certainly did stiffen the ride but isnt an uncomfortable ride which I like, the front did come up 80mm from standard which did get rid of that nose down effect that the 100 and the 200 series both have. Ride so far and towing I have found the car to be much better and this set up seems to suit the 200 very well towing the topender IMO. I certainly in hindsight would hold of on fitting the airbags with this setup as I think at the moment they arnt required time will tell but. Big plus to me was that by fitting this suspension I also was able to up my GVM to 3580KG (originally 3300kg) which makes most of my accesories fitted now nearly at a standard where I have started of at scratch so I still have nearly the original above the tare for load carrying A BIG Bonus. Acc fitted :- ARB bullbar with 9000lb warn winch, rear drawers with full recovery gear and heavy tool box,70L Longranger Aux fuel tank max 168L of fuel, To be added:- is rhino boat loader and boat with roofrack fitted with some light gear for boat As per rego papers tare now reads 2590KG and the GVM is 3580 KG giving me a load carrying capacity of 980kg gotta be happy with that Went to the insurance co and informed them today and as this is a modification my excess went up by $100 which I was Ok with also if any body needs anymore info regards the upgrade I can answer your queires just email me Regards Regards

  25. Hi Rudi I am no battery expert by any means I think that you would need to be guided by the experts as to the best AGM's to buy and I think that you will find the AGM's slightly dearer than a wet cell would pay to shop around and maybe a ph call to kedron to ask what type they are using at present would be a good guide regards
