WA wild flower season

Greetings all.

We are in WA at the moment and they are having a great wet winter.

Looks like the flowers will be superb this year. We have just spent a week touring around the wild flower areas and their little heads are about to burst forth with colour.

Hoping that we can stay long enough to see the results.

We will be heading back to the areas in about 3 weeks.

Regards to all.

We also will be doing the wildflower thing this year.

Planning to leave 22th this month visiting the Dowerin Field days then off to Coalseam national park up to Mt Magnet across to Niagara Dam down to Kalgoorlie and home via Hyden, three weeks in all.

Well thats the plan we'll see, it really depends on the weather.

We planned the same last year but had to head up to Kalbarri because of the rain, which was still nice.

We are blessed to be living in such a wildflower rich state, and even more blessed for the opportunity to be able to hit the road.

May see you on the track someplace Rod and Mavis

And it isn't just in the "usual" places that the flowers are looking good. We have had the best year I've ever seen, here in the Pilbara. I've seen species that I didn't even know existed.

PS, don't forget to check out the wreath flowers that grow east of Mullewa, they are very special.

Cheers

Russ

We think you will have a great year for the flowers.

We did stop in at Mullewa on the way back to Shoalwater from the Geraldton run and asked the info center if there were any wreath flowers out yet but alas we were too early.

Two to three weeks time we will try again, but our time will sadly be limited.

John & Joe,Russ & Sue make the most of it and travel safe.

Regards.
