Sandra Posted April 20, 2019 Report Posted April 20, 2019 (edited) I MADE THIS AGAIN FOR OUR MAY DAY KILKIVAN GATHERING, ONCE AGAIN A SUCCESS . Try this lovely Apple slice, easy to make with minimal ingredients. If you don't have an oven in your van I'm sure it could be cooked in the Webber. APPLE SLICE Base - 1 pkt vanilla or butter cake mix ( I use the generic brand ones from Woolworths or Coles) 1 cup coconut 125 gms melted butter Filling - 1 410gm tin pie apple Topping - 1 carton light sour cream Cinnamon Mix together Base ingredients and press into a greased 7"x11" tin, cook in a moderate oven for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and spread pie apple over the base, then spread sour cream over the apple and sprinkle with cinnamon. Return to oven and cook for a further 15 minutes. Slice when cold. Webmaster Posted May 20 Report Posted May 20 Sounds great. What happens to the sourcream if you cook it? 1 Quote
Sandra Posted May 20 Author Report Posted May 20 It puts a thin coating on top, hard to explain. You will have to try it. Quote
