  1. Welcome Cliff, hope you will have happy travels with your CP5 Compact. Tell us a bit more about yourself and where and when you intend to travel. Don't be afraid to ask any questions and someone will no doubt help you. Sandra
  2. 1x 250grpack of Salada Biscuits 200grms Butter 185grm (1 cup) soft brown sugar 1 tsp vanilla essence Generous pinch of salt 200gr dark chocolate chopped Turn oven to 180 degrees. Line a baking tray (approx 300x250cm) with foil then baking paper. Lay out Saladas in a single layer to fit the tray. The Caramel - melt the butter and sugar together in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally for about five minutes until it is thick and "gloopy". Stir in vanilla and salt. Take the caramel off the heat and quickly our it over the Saladas. Smooth with spatula. Put tray in oven for 15 minutes until the caramel has darkened. Remove from oven and cool for a few minutes, then sprinkle the chopped chocolate over the toffee. As the chocolate melts spread it evenly over the base. (Some cut up pistachios sprinkled on top can be a festive addition). Allow your "Crack" to cool then snap into pieces - any odd shape will do and store in an airtight container in the frig. ENJOY!! Sorry, there is no photo, I made this recipe for the Christmas gathering at Ruberns Lagoon last week and it disappeared before I had a chance to take a photo.
  3. It is expensive to take the van and car over. They charge by the combined length. You don't spend a lot on fuel over there as everything is so close. However, it is worth it to have your own accommodation. I would suggest a minimum of six weeks. There is plenty of free/low cost/ pub camping. Yes, some of the secondary roads are narrow. We based ourselves in an area and explored with the car. Quite a few members of the group have been over, and I know a few that are intending to go next year. You won't regret it.
  4. Always laugh at this one as we have friends who travelled just like this. Thank goodness they have now sold their van, we are now a little safer.
  5. Always enjoy your reports, look forward to your next travels. Take care
  6. Always enjoy reading your travel stories. Like Karen I too like the sunlit lizard. Look forward to the next chapter. Sandra
  7. Hi Tony, is this new sign on your door?
  8. Always good to catch up with other Kedron owners, even better if they are members of KOG
  9. I always get a laugh from Friday Funnies, regardless of what they are about. Thank you Barry
  10. Welcome to the group Reinhold and Jack, hopefully we will meet up somewhere touring this great country.

Depends on what the value of the van. Best to shop around. We have a 2008 XC and both car and van are insured with RACQ. Have made two claims for the van, awning and hail damage and had no problems. Clive and Sandra
  12. Welcome to the group Allan. We are on our second Kedron van. We too owned a Jayco and took the plunge and bought our first Kedron in 2001. Updated to our current van years later. The main thing that has impressed us over the years is the after sales service. Good luck and fun times ahead planning. Sandra and Clive
  13. Welcome Tom and Sue, you must be very happy that your new van will be arriving soon. Let’s hope you will be free to travel in it even if it is in your own state. Some great campsites on the Murray. Stay safe and happy travels, Sandra
  14. Hello Rob, We too we’re over the washbasin in our 2008 XC. In desperation my husband ripped the lot out. We never used the washbasin because of the drainage issues. The mirror doors on the cupboard were starting to detoriate. The door latches on the cupboard we’re becoming in reliable on rough roads. The plastic unit had also gone yellowish. Went to several local kitchen/bathroom/cabinet makers but no one could help for at least a year. We were told to buy a sheet of composite aluminium sheeting and sixaflex it to the back wall. Bought a mirror and attached it to the wall. The reno has given us a feeling of a larger area. We are now very happy.
  15. Hello Bas, the attachment is on the previous posting. Sandra
  16. Always look forward to Tuesday for a laugh. I think I can relate to the last one as technology clutters my brain.
  17. Always enjoy your travel experiences. My cousin still has property at Eumungerie, but now lives at Tullamore. You described it well. Look forward to catching up with sometime next week. Enjoy the rest of your stay at Kilkivan.
