Keep River NP, NT

Keep River NP.

Has anyone been there lately? We are thinking of heading over there from Darwin in about three weeks time, with our ATV (18 foot internal size). And we will be going into Gregory NP too. We have been to Gregory NP in the past and the road was absolutely fine then so assume it is now too. Well worth seeing that area.

But we've never been to Keep River and it would be good to hear from others (especially those who have been there recently) what is there and what its like.

Chris,

The latest Caravan & Motorhome magazine (the one with the Topender on the cover) has a full article on the Keep River NP, looks like a definite place to head off the main road.

cheers

I haven't got that edition yet. I'm off to Darwin for the day tomorrow and will pick one up. Many thanks

Yes! In the mailbox this morning was the magazine, with the Kedron on the cover - and an article with Keep River no doubt (haven't read it yet).

Thanks for that!

Chris,

Talked to one of the guys in the office today, called in at Keep River last year, great place just advised if you intend to go into the second campground make sure you call into the rangers office on the way through. He was 25k down the road before the sign said road closed ahead.

have a good trip

Laurie

Guest John & Cheryl

Hi all

We did a day trip to the Keep River National Park from Kununurra last year. We had enough time to see everything and also do a long walk. No delays in the border crossing either as we advised them that we had just done a day trip.

Cheers - John & Cheryl
