  1. Hi Russ and Sue Apparently the older kits did not include top and bottom furry bits. I don`t know if that would make a difference or not, I hope so. Lea scanned a copy of the fitting instructions into the puter so if you would like us to email them ,just let us know. Cheers
  2. Well I finally bit the bullet and fitted the Dometic window update kit over the last 2 days. The kit includes 4 furry worms??for the sides and top and bottom of the windows and 2 strips of chrome to cover the holes or slots in the top and bottom of the window. I had to vacuum and clean all the windows and frames as I did them so it was quite a long job. But now it is all done and I hope the Bugs and insects appreciate my hard work and stay the hell away from the inside of the van. Cheers Rick & Lea
  3. Hi Candswilkins Try this site ,might be helpful??! Cheers Rick & Lea Fly screen replacement
  4. G`Day Peter & Tracy I have had my OME set up on the 100 series for about 7 yrs., and when I told them I was going to tow about 3.5 tonnes they fitted the heaviest springs they had. On enquiring about 2 yrs. ago they still fit the same springs. And yes I have air bags fitted also.In all that time I have only replaced the 2 front shockies about 2 yrs. ago. OME are a great system in my humble opinion. Cheers
  5. Hi Tommy & Jackie No, it should not make any difference. Roadside service and insurance are two different things. Cheers
  6. Urgent Info Required We have the van in at Kedron, and one of the jobs is to have a dust deflector fitted in front of the 4 season hatch on the roof. The 4 season hatch on out ATV2 is on the front and sloping end of the van. Does anyone out there have one fitted and does it work? And what sort of design is it? Cheers
  7. Hi Gang We are insured with Ken Tame through CMCA and saved nearly a grand , compared to van with CIL and tug through NRMA.They were very helpful with the whole process and made it very easy. The only down side was that the first years premium had to be paid up front, but luckily Leas carers bonus came just on time. The premiums from the end of the first year are to be paid Quartely. We have talked to Motor Homers and have had nothing but positive feedback from those that had to make a claim. Cheers Rick & Lea Ps Any excess King George whiting can be express mailed to us here in Lake Cooroibah
  8. Someone is having a birthday. We wonder who it could be????
  9. I think that says more about the weather than sconing ya bonce!!??
  10. G`Day Brian We recently swapped the new spares to the front, the front to the back and the back as spares. I don`t know if this is the correct way but it works for us as the back tyres were worn the most. Cheers
  11. Hi Tex & Carol We have had quite a few stays at Standdown Park from its beginnings, and yes it is a great park.I am surprised that Rod & Pam are still there.they were talking about travelling again when we were there for Long tan day in 2010.A great day it was too. When you see Rod tell him we are making great use of his "Mungrill". Cheers
  12. G`Day Mr.& Mrs Tex esq.com Great I thought, there is an easier way to clean the blade on the fan other than undoing all those screw each time.So I looked and looked for the pop off bit ,but alas there was none .I have an older model,so it is back to the screwdriver and stiff neck. LOL. Rod,good point about the night rain I didn`t realise they would be noisy. We are now back in Brissie then off to Lake Cooroibah tomorrow for a 5 month housesit. Cheers
  13. It sounds like nothing has changed then!! He was about to move on last time we were there. I think his name was William.
  14. The 4 Seasons is on the front slope of the van unfortunately. We currently use the sponge trick. But that is a pain in the proverbial taking it out and putting it in.Will have to visit the boys at Kedron when we get the van serviced and get a deflector. Tony ,How much did they charge you to fit yours?
  15. G`Day Mal & Kerry Is that grumpy old B who has been there since year dot still caretaking? Him and his Missus were a real bundle off laughs last time we were there.(NOT) That was about a year ago.
  16. Hi Gang Has anybody out there had a "dust deflector" fitted on the roof of there van in front of the 4 Seasons hatch? If so ,does it work? Cheers
  17. Oops! Sorry about that ,but if you lay on your side you can read it in stereo.
  18. G`Day Rusty Welcome to the sight. On the subject of after market fuel tanks,we have had 2 over the years. Both have performed very well. One was fitted to the Troopy (75 series) for about 5 yrs. and copped a fair old battering. And the current one is on the Cruiser, fitted about 5yrs ago and no problems so far. The brand on both was Longranger. So I would take yours back to the place it was installed and to stop telling you B.S.and fix it. Cheers

  20. Colin and Tony Where do you plug them in?? Geoff& Pam ,there was some discussion on plug in security lights on Caravanersforum.com some time ago .Perhaps you could do a search there for security lights,or something similar. No cost to join.
  21. G`Day Neville & Kay Don`t know much about the area, but they have had a sh#t load of rain in the last 48 hrs. So I would check Rd. conditions before you get near there.
  22. Great to hear.Only one question "Foot rest" ??
  23. G`Day Webby Happy Birthday for tomorrow Sue.I see you are going to pick up your present at Kedron. We hope they wrap it properly.
  24. I have seen this subject before and I don`t understand the issue with not turning of the fridge via the thermostat switch!! We have had our current van for nearly 4 years and have always turned of at the switch for defrosting and with no problems. It actually has an off position on the switch.
  25. Hi Nev. Looks good, but would a load of wet washing put a bit of a strain on the awning arms? Tony how come you get out of hanging out the washing??
