  1. Hi Graeme, You must counting the number of 'sleeps' now till the new van arrives....lol....enjoy!
  2. I personally have never had any dealings with Christian @ SS but have been aware of his presence on the LCOOL site (as he has a 200), he seems like a decent, willing sort of guy. I would think that dealing with the manufacturer direct (Christian) shouldnt he be able to tailor a screen to your spec's as in having cutouts & reinforcing them for the jerry cans & also lengthening them to accommodate the longer draw bar. If you where to put your van on your tug and take relevant measurements (using Christian's reference points) I would be surprised if he couldn't come up with a solution OR have a yarn to a competent motor trimmer in your area. Edit. I just had a look at my van, I'm assuming your jerry can holders are in a similar position to mine.....if the rear 'edge' of the SS stopped/finished just in 'front' of the jerry can holders.... that would have to give you adequate protection.... my thoughts.
  3. A good coat of polish may have saved my glass shower screen when I was in the Kimberly last time.... the water up there with the high lime/calcium content (or something else) etched on the glass..... no amount of cleaning or rubbing will remove it also etched the side glass of the tug.....make sure you chamois off your vehicle or shower screen when ur up that way!
  4. Was just thinking its funny isn't tit the GM(H) are bringing out the Dodge why wouldn't it be a Chev or GMC?

Hi ob1 Welcome to the forum & to the possibility of being a Kedron owner! Going from the title of your post I assuming you are considering purchasing a 10 year old or there abouts van. Not knowing your location or the history of the van its self, all I can suggest is that you check the operation & function of all of the fittings & accessories. Surely after ten years even the best looked after van may have a few gremlins in it. I don't know your capabilities, are you confident in getting under the van & checking the chassis & running gear (brakes bearings etc), checking all the electrics? If the answer is no then I would suggest find a reputable repairer to do a pre purchase inspection.... not suggesting you have an inspection on every van you look at .....but after looking at a few vans you will/should get the feel of what is right & what is possibly wrong. Heres hoping your 'van hunting' goes well & isnt to stressful. Also not knowing what your going to pulling your van with ........make sure the 'tug' is up to the job! I suggest you spend a few hours (when you have the time) & scroll through the various post on this forum, you will pick up a ton of info & learn a lot about the Kedron product! I do hope to see you as a regular contributor and CU down the road one day!

Hi Danny, Yes, one of the little darlings, we all support, who regularly who attend the Centrelink office you parked in front of. Google is usually your friend.....I had a look but alas all I could find were sites in the UK & the States. Try this 'local site' http://www.tyredog.com.au/store/I know nothing about them.....but you never know their product maybe compatible OR they maybe able to give you a lead... good luck with your endeavors!
  11. Teckonsha P3 for me....had one in each of the 200's work like a treat for me
  12. Hi Madden, Welcome to the forum, maybe one of our 'sandgropper' members will be able to answer this question. Is your van 'new'... is this its first service,..... have you spoken to 'the factory' re a prefered/suggested service establishment? To assist local (WA) members what is your general location.....sorry just saw South Perth? CU down the road
  13. HiTerry, I'm NO chemist or industrialist engineer...... but I believe the major component/ingrediant of this product is Oxalic acid.....bearing in mind (again (Im NO chemist or industrialist engineer) I have used this product with success (in my mind) if you mix up a batch half strength to what I did you shouldnt go wrong! Please note what I said in the previous post...... Would suggest VERY CAREFUL application on the 'colourbond material'
  14. Hi all, Have a look at these links http://www.kedronownersgroup.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=1852&hl=%2Brust+%2B%26amp%3Bamp%3B+%2Bstain+%2Bremover#entry9138 http://www.kedronownersgroup.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=1319&hl=%2Brust+%2B%26amp%3Bamp%3B+%2Bstain+%2Bremover#entry5503 http://www.kedronownersgroup.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=1269&hl=%2Brust+%2B%26amp%3Bamp%3B+%2Bstain+%2Bremover#entry5176 Would suggest VERY CAREFUL application on the 'colourbond material" Cheers
  15. Hi Nev & Penny, I noticed a marked improvement also going from the original pads to the Bendix 4x4 pads but I would go as far to say the improvement from the Bendix 4x4 to the Bendix H/Duty pad is 'as good, if not better again'. No, there wasn't any air in the system..... Give it a go, suck as brake fluid as you can out of the reservoir with a syringe and a short length of vacuum or or plastic hose approx (3mm ID), discard fluid. (Be very careful not to spill any on the paintwork.....if you do wash off immediately with water) Refill reservoir with fresh Dot 3 brake fluid. Fit a length (60cm) of clear plastic hose over the 'snout' of the NSR bleeder nipple, 'crack open' the nipple with the end of the plastic hose going into an old soft drink can or similar. Now open drivers door, start engine, let it idle, kneel down beside the drivers door, position yourself with one arm operating/pushing the brake pedal & your head/eyes able to see the clear hose from the bleeder nipple....pump the brake pedal quickly (say 20 to 25 times) but NO MORE than half of its normal travel. You can watch the old fluid going down the plastic hose & having a 'snug' fitting hose (3mm ID) on the nipple absolutely negates any chance of air getting in the system. Nip up nipple check fluid level in reservoir, then repeat process on OSR wheel then the NSF finishing off with the OSF wheel. Wash off any brake fluid spillage with the garden hose. I know you will then have a much better feeling brake pedal.... much higher & firmer.....give it a go!
  16. Twelve months ago I fitted RDA slotted & dimpled rotors front & rear with Bendix 4x4 pads, also full brake fluid change. Since then I have traveled approx 30k...black top, dirt with & without my 3.5t Kedron behind. I have found the braking to be 'satisfactory' but at times I felt it could have been a little bit better as in stopping time & braking effort required. I believe my driving style could be described as conservative, I don't do hard or late braking unless in an emergency.... watch traffic lights & coast to a red light..... so all in all not hard on the brakes (I believe)....but still I was wanting more. After making enquiries from various sources I contacted the technical advice line/service at Bendix Aust, were I spoke to a helpful, friendly guy who apperered to be interested in my concerns. I explained to him about my recent (12 months ago) brake 'upgrade' but still wanting more, after telling him about the new rotors which he thought were a good idea he suggested fitting Bendix Heavy Duty pads. Well I sourced two sets from a local supplier ($150 for both) & fitted them yesterday. I deglazed the rotors with emery, then fitted up the pads & flushing the brake fluid again (Dot 3, almost 1.5 liters) its amazing how much higher the brake pedal is now (soooo much less travel) and a soooo much firmer feel about it. Although Bendix claim there is no bedding in procedure I don't believe you should go out & punish the brakes...easy braking like I normally do .....well my test drive was somewhat extended about 100k's. The stopping power of these new pads is a great improvement over the Bendix 4x4 pads fitted previously. I appreciate it is only early days yet & I will report back when I have done a few more k's CU down the road
  17. Hi Ian, Trust life is treating you well! Two things you can do in this situation with your flyscreen....... mix up a detergent solution in a pump pack & spray the screens then with your bride on the inside or opposite of the screen to you.... both with towels in your hands.....then rub together. This will improve the look & slighty clean your screens (as they will be stained & you will never get them looking like new) the best bet is to follow this link...... http://www.kedronownersgroup.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=2224&hl=screens Having fitted the black midge screen to my van a couple of observations 1. Yes they let in a little less light....which in turn means a little less heat (which is good) 2. Being black in colour.....it is a pleasing how much extra privacy you get inside the van.... as in people outside cant see in as easily! 3. If you do this 'conversion' when measuring the 'vertical drop' of the screen ... reduce the length of the screen ( which you can safely do) as the new midge screen is thicker & will cause an obstruction (& foul on the roll) when you roll the screen up 4. The small off cuts from the 'conversion' I got my bride to make/sew up 'small socks' to fit over the water tank overflow outlets.......so the mudwasps don't build nests in the ends of the pipe.

    Satelite TV

Looks great BUT no DVD player
  19. Bryan, My first contact would be the the supplier, what are they going to do about it 'failing' & not being suitable. If it has been installed as per directions/instructions & showing signs of wear already (after little use) I would be jumping up & down, requesting refund or replacement. Just re read your post I see your purchase was two years ago..... maybe approach in a softly softly manner & see how you go.....please keep us up to speed on your endeavours.
  20. Hi Michael & Gill, Great report....very happy to hear your van is performing well for you. And your 'learning' new skills in living & loving life with a quality product. I'm looking forward to reading more input from your Kedron experiences in the future. CU down the road
  21. This IS what you need.... >https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Ac9XE2Koxg Sorry but this is the best i could offer
  22. Here you are Rick, http://www.maxxistyres.com.au/dealer-locator.php
  23. Hi Rick, I have Toyo Open Country A/T's (OPAT's) on the 200 series very happy (wear, lack of noise and grip on & off road & in the wet) with them currently have approx 60,000k should get close to 90,000k out of them. I rotate them every 5,000 k. On the van I have Maxxis 751's which are wearing well and in my mind been a good choice. Do a search in the members section on tyres & have a look at my post there see why I went with Maxxis on the van.
  24. Bad luck & good luck in the same breath.....if a tyre is going to blow it will be always at the most inopportune time..... was it raining when the tyre blew??? Great news that the tyre was replaced that should give you extra confidence in your choice of tyre...a pat on the back for the Coopers distributor I still love my Toyo's though!
  25. Hi Sue & Ann, Hope to catch up.....happy new year to you both......pm me your mobile
