Glen and Debbie
HiLawnton Showgrounds is handy to Kedron at Brendale. They have spare keys to offer for a deposit in case the caretaker doesn't advise you of this and insists on closing the gates when you might be out and about for dinner, etc. You are handy to the Lawnton Tavern (walking distance) and also the Pine Rivers Bowls Club (5 min drive) with a $1 life membership which would then entitle you to a free bus service. We eat out at the West Wing Restaurant at the Bowls Club on a regular basis. Springers (12 volt specialists), BCF and the local provider for Odour be gone are also handy to the show grounds. For more information on camping at the showgrounds, contact Tony Pratley on 0410 539 551 or Brian Andrews on 0420 500 157CheersDeb B
sellinup
Hi Glen and Debbie Thanks for the phone numbers , Kerry has just spoken to Brian Andrews Re staying at the showgrounds and he said he would inform the caretaker for us. He thought price was $17 per night and max stay of 3 weeks ,he also thinks a price of $20 a night is not far away. But even at $20 a night it's still cheap ,and is nice and handy to every thing we need. Thanks again, Regards Mal And kerry.

Glen and Debbie
HiNew members Leno & Denise stayed there a couple of weeks ago along with Elle & Blackie and there was an issue of him closing the gates at 8.15pm - if you weren't in by then - tough luck.I contacted one of the show society members who advised that the caretaker would be moving on shortly and she offered to open the gate for us if we came back to a locked gate - all was well when we returned. The caretaker also had spare keys to offer for a deposit of $25 I think it was, but he forgot to mention that to Leno & Denise and Elle & Blackie.CheersDeb B
RickA
It sounds like nothing has changed then!! He was about to move on last time we were there. I think his name was William.
sellinup
Hi all Yes frendly William is still there. he certainly is a bundel of joy . But the good news is he is leaving at the end of the month. When we got to the show grounds and went up to the caretakers cottage a sign on the door said( WE ARE CLOSED ,CARETAKER IN CARAVAN PHONE ECT. ECT.) so i headed back out the gate i came in, and there was a chap sitting in a chair under his awning, so i greeted him with a, good day mate are you the caretaker? His answer was NO i just like sitting around, waddyer want. defenatly a happy chappy (NOT) but after talking to him for a while he wasn't to bad. But time for him to move on. Regards Mal And Kerry.
