The Joiners Posted June 24, 2017 Report Posted June 24, 2017 Hi there, We ordered a Compact just before the Brisbane Show and will be looking forward to delivery, hopefully in February 2018. We currently have an OptionRV with triple bunks, but the boys have decided they are happy to sleep outside in a tent, so happy days. (not sure what will happen in the first storm they encounter though!) 3 Quote
Chris Posted June 24, 2017 Report Posted June 24, 2017 Welcome, Joiners! The Kedron family is a great place to join. There is a wealth of good information here in the forum, so feel free to share your experiences with the new van when it arrives. Feel fre to ask lots of questions too. chris 2 Quote
Vulcan Posted August 16, 2017 Report Posted August 16, 2017 Hi Joiners, just saw your post...call me slow! We put our order in for the XC-3 Compact at the show and expect delivery in May 18. We hummed and ha'ad for some time, but opted for the Compact because of the ease of towing and the ability to not have to shell out for a bigger tow tug. Having done a lot of camper-trailing and tent camping the smaller van won't be an issue, I expect. See you out there somewhere. 2 3 Quote
Vulcan Posted April 14, 2018 Report Posted April 14, 2018 Less than a month until the XC3 Compact is finished. It's at the fit-out stage and looking good. Problem is now all the "extra" expenses of air bag suspension, electronic brakes, mirrors... But, still can't wait until we drive out with the new van. 2 1 Quote
Vulcan Posted April 27, 2018 Report Posted April 27, 2018 Got our pick-up date now. 11 May 18 and we get the van. The new tug is all set for towing (piggy bank is still squealing!) and had a beau-peep at the van and it's almost GTG. NowI just need to get a decent bit of leave so we can take it out for the "shake-out" trip. Quote
ATV42 Posted April 27, 2018 Report Posted April 27, 2018 Hi Vulcan Exciting times ahead. As a suggestion, and as I've mentioned to other new owners, stay a day or so at the Lawnton Showgrounds. It's only a few kilometres from the factory. It will give you the opportunity to 'try everything out', and if it doesn't work or if you don't understand at particular system, it's an easy trip back to Kedron. All the best with your new rig, and safe travels. Peter Quote
Peterv Posted January 18, 2019 Report Posted January 18, 2019 Hello Joiners. Just curious, you have had your Compact now for over 6 months now. How is it travelling? With the benefit of hindsight would you have made any changes to the original configuration you ordered? Sometime in the next few months we will have to finalise the configuration of our Compact and am interested in any insights you could share. 1 Quote
