  1. We have reduced the price of our van for a quick sale. This is an absolute bargain - well below replacement value. Viewings welcome. />http://www.kedronownersgroup.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=2095
  2. Our top notch Top Ender is For Sale. />http://www.kedronownersgroup.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=2095 Has everything you could ever need installed.
  3. Thanks Chris. It seems odd they aren't available locally. Has Val checked how dirty the foam sleeve is getting? Maybe it also acts as a dirt filter also?
  4. Two questions: 1. Has anyone that has used the bungs ever had any troubles with the heater not starting, i.e. white smoke? 2. Has anyone installed the air intake silencer? I believe there is one available that will quieten down the external noise generated.

  6. It's a pity you had such a poor experience, Colin. May I suggest next time not parking so close to the amenities. When we were there, we parked on the nice green grass in the centre - unpowered but in a Kedron, you should be good! Pools and kids go hand in hand - luck of the draw I'm afraid. I'm not sure what you want from the restaurant staff - it appears they were very apologetic - giving you a full refund AND a bottle of wine (which you refused). Yes, I would have been disappointed to, I'm sure, but they have done everything they can to try to rectify the issue for you but you don't seem to have any acceptance. If you want 5 star dining, I'm afraid you will need to head to the city... Hey, you're out in the bush - try a nice campfire - that's what it's all about ;-)
  7. Can you verify this ruling? Do you have a link?
  8. OK, maybe not so expensive: />http://ev-power.com.au/webstore/index.php/se100aha.html These are 3.2V cells... 3.2 x 4 = 12.8V (max 3.9V per cell x 4 = 15.6V) 4 x $137 = $548 + GST per 100Ah This is the first price I came up with and I assume there are better prices around. And I like the discharge curve - the voltage is fairly constant all the way to 100% discharge />http://ev-power.com.au/webstore/index.php/catalog/product/gallery/id/5/image/270/ 40A Battery charger: />http://ev-power.com.au/webstore/index.php/charging/12v-4-cell-24v-8-cell-chargers/12v-40a-battery-charger.html Not sure about solar regulator... Russ, what configuration are you planning?
  9. Russ, I'm interested in your trip down the LiFePO4 route... From my research, you need a special charging system. What is your proposed solution? Are your replacing your chargers? Solar regulator? What size batteries did you settle for and at what cost? I was under the understanding they were still quite expensive and your $2000 price tag appears quite conservative. Fridges

Rod, what van are you getting and when is it due? Why the move away from the Vitro?
  11. I've been sitting her biting my tongue... Have you tried turning the fridge up?? It goes up to 7. Ours runs on 6 and I have a temp sensor and it maintains a constant 0-1C. If it starts rising, we defrost. We have no extra fans or switches- theses are needed for 3 way fridges. I have actually added some batts to fill the fridge cavity but these have made no noticable different at all. We have been in +40C temps and the fridge has been mainatined at 0-1C. The key is the defrosting. In the humidity you will have to defrost more often, if the door is being opened and closed.
  12. Hi Robert & Jane, I can confirm the ones from RV Outpost are thicker than the original (I can't confirm it's 20mm without measuring one). But $24 delivered is a pretty good price. (You must also take into account the currency conversion and delivery when ordering overseas). I had a look at the awardrv site - how did you find the prices? Scanning a catalog with no prices and showing a PDF in that little window is just wrong IMHO.
  13. Hi team, I've placed a follow up to this and an offer made by RV Outpost in the members forum. There is also some technical information on cleaning you tanks if you have any problems. http://www.kedronownersgroup.com/forum/ind...?showtopic=1030 Sorry about the delay - I dropped the ball on this one.
  14. wow, that's a big download King. Better to compress it a bit in a format the browsers will open natively. Try this:
  15. I have discussed this issue with Julie over the weekend via email. Julie has been most helpful and has even offered an excellent discount to KOG members. I'm just waiting for a response from her regarding the material recommended by Suburban themselves. Once I have this, I will post details in the member's area. I suggest anyone that wants any of these to hold off for a day or two if you want to save a few dollars.
  16. This post has only just been pointed out to me. Seems rvoutpost has put the price up - now $20 for the Suburban ($9.49 for the Atwood). http://www.rvingoutpost.com/specs.php?prod...tle=Anode%20Rod The website says they are aluminium but I can't verify if the original were magnesium or not but they feel a lot heaver than an aluminum rod! Does anyone have an aluminim or magnesium magnet? :tongue_ss:
  17. Hi Rod & Mavis, The AC/DC concert would have proved you're in your prime ;-) I meant to have a look for them earlier and your message prompted me - all sold out! Where is the QSAC? Never mind - found it : http://maps.google.com.au/maps?hl=en&s...uKZ6ciwObhZCTCg
  18. I can't believe you guys don't have any dust problems. How come our van got so dirty? This is after being on 500kms of dirt from Carrawine Gorge to Newman. At least it was all on the outside! :shades:
  19. Col & Debbie, Isn't it nice at 14 mile - when the wind isn't blowing. We were there a few weeks ago:
  20. Hi Andre, The photo of our van on the beach was probably Cooloola NP (Double Island Point) - north of Noosa. The beach here generally is quite hard between the high and low water and low tide is the best time to travel. Kedron's Fraser Island video shows the boys travelling this beach also.
  21. Wow, Carl, it doesn't sound like you're very happy with yours at all! I love mine - tows beautifully and even better with the OME suspension upgrade. I took it down a wrong track yesterday over soft sand and there was nowhere to turn around so I had to keep going. A couple of kms down the track we found an area wide enough to turn around and made it back across the couple of kms of soft sand - all with full tyres pressures and the van on the back! The 100 wouldn't have made it. This thing pulls like a tractor. Not quite correct. No need for the handbrake on. It's a safety feature to ensure someone is in the driver's seat that can reach the pedals. Haven't found that, unless keys are in the car. What are you doing up at 2am? ;-) You should have it in park before leaving the car and there will be no alarm even if the engine is running. (Try leaving it in drive and putting the handbrake on and leaving the car while running - then it screams. That took a little getting use to as I came from driving manuals). The alarm will tell you it doesn't lock. Again, being an auto it should be in park. The cigarette socket was useless as it wasn't rated high enough anyway. IMHO, it's better to install a good quality socket and wiring for your fridge and accessories. We haven't regretted buying ours...
  22. Hi Reg & Fran, I'm not sure if this helps much but with my 200, I just stick it in drive and go. It uses 5th a lot. Heaps of grunt and if it needs a lower gear it will find it - auto, of course. With my 100 V8 Petrol, I used 5th when on the open road without any problems. I tend to tow at the sign posted sped limit as I actually use more fuel doing 80 then I do at 95-100 as the 200 doesn't find the next gear.
  23. Congratulations, guys. We hope the new baby gives you much pleasure and merry times. Travel safe and don't forget the photos.
