  3. Hi Colin & Gayleen, I visited Home Valley myself about 3 years ago.... & I must admit that I was somewhat underwhelmed in the place it was not long after the Galls had stayed there & we stayed there on Barrys recomendation (only bum steer he has ever given me ). I think Im right in saying the managers father (of Home Valley) owns a Kedron. Just had a look at the photos of the dogs ..... they dont look to bad now..... Mardi sends licks
  4. Colin, They say there is only a week between a good & a bad haircut is that the same for a dog groom?
  5. I recently spent $6,500 on a young registered Black Angus bull. I put him out with the herd but he just ate grass and wouldn't even look at a cow. I was beginning to think I had paid more for that bull than he was worth. Anyhow, I had the vet come and have a look at him. He said the bull was very healthy, but possibly just a little young, so he gave me some pills to feed him once per day. The bull started to service the cows within two days, all my cows! He even broke through the fence and bred with all of my neighbor's cows! He's like a machine! I don't know what was in the pills the vet gave him ......... but they kind of taste like peppermint.
  6. Reece, Did you get my PM? Regards Tony H

  9. Hi Bondi, I have a Codan NGT with a 9350 autotune antenna. I find this to be a great setup & would recomend I also belong to HF radio club www.hfradioclub.com.au (a great bunch of friendly, helpful people! .... just like Kedron owners)

  16. Hi Gordon & Chris, Im assuming you have a 200 series. There has been a fair bit of discussion on www.lcool.org (200 sereis section) about these diodes. They have been available for some time now. I have ummed & arrhed about purchasing one for my 200, they boost the alternator output by only .5 volt! I have an Engel hard wired in the back of my 200 that runs 24/7 & I can leave it it without starting for upto three days... (not, that is NOT the maximum length of time you can leave it ....its how long I have left it before giving the truck a run to top up the batteries. For what Im doing & my situation, I can live without a booster diode....... just my two bobs worth PS still running original battery setup with no modifications.... other than std accessories
  17. Hi Colin, I think congratulations are in order...... You certainly have set a NEW record in the number of 'hits' (over7,000 & increasing daily) your/this thread has created. How many days now till the trek takes off? Regards to you and Gayleen & Mardi sends licks!
  18. Hi Sue, I have the same problem when I go on a cruise .... the bloody salt air shrinks my clothes Have a great trip & a safe, happy easter to all!
  19. Hi Russ, I presume you are talking about the round lights inside the van..... you threw me when you said .... there is a place to press at the "end" of the light. If you have the round diffuser, have a look around the 'side' of the lamp/light body & you will find a small plastic pin, note its position & directly opposite there will be another pin..... with a small phillips head screwdriver or similar press these pins in about 4 to 5mm & gently pull down on the plastic diffuser.... easy
  20. Cold Winter Ahead? It's late fall and the Indians on a remote reservation in North Dakota asked their new chief if the coming winter was going to be cold or mild. Since he was a chief in a modern society, he had never been taught the old secrets. When he looked at the sky, he couldn't tell what the winter was going to be like. Nevertheless, to be on the safe side, he told his tribe that the winter was indeed going to be cold and that the members of the village should collect firewood to be prepared. But, being a practical leader, after several days, he got an idea. He went to the phone booth, called the National Weather Service and asked, 'Is the coming winter going to be cold?' 'It looks like this winter is going to be quite cold,' the meteorologist at the weather service responded. So the chief went back to his people and told them to collect even more firewood in order to be prepared. A week later, he called the National Weather Service again. 'Does it still look like it is going to be a very cold winter?' 'Yes,' the man at National Weather Service again replied, 'it's going to be a very cold winter.' The chief again went back to his people and ordered them to collect every scrap of firewood they could find. Two weeks later, the chief called the National Weather Service again. 'Are you absolutely sure that the winter is going to be very cold?' 'Absolutely,' the man replied. 'It's looking more and more like it is going to be one of the coldest winters we've ever seen.' 'How can you be so sure?' the chief asked. The weatherman replied, 'The Indians are collecting a shitload of firewood'
  21. Hi Ronnie, Andrew & John have both made very good points... to which I agree. A 21ft (internal) Kedron is a BIG van.... do you need a van that size? There are a few threads on this site re tow vehicles, van layouts & general information about Kedron, when you have a few moments make a cuppa & sit down a have a read :-) You will find this site to freqented my many like minded people who generally are so ever willing to share their knowledge & experiances of owning a Kedron..... welcome to the group!
  22. Hi Jayne and Alan or is it Alan & Jayne???? Rather than carrying the bikes in a Landy.... not a bad idea.... easier to use than a bag full of tools to keep the Landy going..... sorry had to throw that in from a Toyota owner..... what about one of those racks that attach to the goose neck of the tow vehicle & secured by the towball..... yes I know it it is a pain in the ar&* to open the tailgate but at least it is another option
  23. Hi Reece, Have a look at Members offering property stayovers in the Trips & Gathering section

    Tyre rotation

I'm with Sue & Ann on this....... I believe it is a good idea to USE the spare tyres rather than leaving them wrapped up on the back of the van. Tyres do 'age' & the older they get the less flex & grip they have. Remember that tyres are only warranted for a max of 5 years. Russ. I can understand your thinking.......... BUT I would rather know that I had 6 'newish' serviceable tyres! Remembering you will have tyre trouble when you least expect it or at the most inopportune time
