  1. Hi Danny, What was the part number for the shocks and where did you get them, please? I was thinking, when I get my new truck set up, as in getting the bull bar on and drawer system fitted and loaded up, next time I'm going to be in Sydney I would book the truck I with Heasmans Steering, they have a body/suspension dynamometer there where they can perfectly match the shocks (usually Bilstiens) to the vehicle. Have you adjusted your torsion bars....if so how many turns of the anchor/adjusting bolt? CU down the road
  2. Hi Danno, I'd be thinking the person, that 'told' you about darker colours was warped themselves.... pick your colour/s and enjoy your beaut new van. In the highly unlikely instance you have ANY problems.....rest assured you have the strength of a quality product, with near never ending support behind you!
  3. I will ditto Vulcans comments above.......speak to Springers they are very knowledgeable, they are certainly are after a sale....not saying in anyway, don't buy from them.... but use their advice/recommendations.....in making a decision. I (personally) have been a very happy customer of Springers for many years.... CU down the road.
  4. Hi Vulcan, Welcome to the wonderful world of the KOG I personally can't answer your queries as we have a bigger van and tug, but there are quite a few XC compacts out there now with knowledgeable & friendly owners who I'm sure will assist you. CU down the road?
  5. Healthy, non confrontational comment, is ALWAY welcome on this forum.....NOT implying it isn't.....but let's keep it that way!
  6. Hi Chris, As Peter says, there is a crowd in WA that do wheel covers.....their name escapes me ......but Google is your friend. i personally know of one KOG member (from Perth) who used this company's services, and I believe they are very happy with the end result.....they had a couple of their own photos 'printed' on the new wheel covers.....very impressive! i will pm you with the members name? Regards & travel safe Tony
  7. One........ to keep in the memory bank
  8. Hi Cargo, Welcome to this forum. The Kedron product is a quality product and with quality and strength unfortunately comes extra weight, also depends on what extra's you decide on....... which all add to the overall weight! For my two bobs worth (& I'm sure there will be many more comments) ..... I have just 'got out of' my thirteenth Landcruiser mixture of 80's, 100's and the last three.... 200's all have been fantastic tow vehicles especially the 200's with the TTD motor....sssoooooo much torque, but when you what to pull up in a hurry ( my experience only) the 'old sphincter muscles' really tighten UP!. My van is a 19'6" interior ATV2 (and please remember, I'm only talking of MY experiences) would weigh close to 4 tonne, I can truthfully say that I don't know what it weighs as I never really wanted to know how much it was over weight.....if you wish call me irresponsible! Towing the van with the cruiser was easy going climb any hill, passing many lesser vehicles on the way, with WITH great fuel economy. I would always keep a safe distance and then some from the vehicle in front.....always as any responsible driver would be ....aware of any vehicle that could/would cut in and reduce your braking distance. Well, I have bitten the bullet, I have got out of my 200, it is up for sale (see items for sale) and spent the eqivilent of what you would pay for half a house in suburbia and purchased a 'Yank Truck'!. The last thing I'm trying to do here is high jack this thread and get the topic off track......but you did ask the question about the tow vehicle. The feeling you get when towing ( in my case with a GMC) is one of complete relaxation compared to towing with a 200 series, the power AND THE EXHAUST BRAKES make it as easy as driving a little sports car (almost) and only using about 1 litre per 100 extra on fuel. Cargo,.....the last thing I trying to do is put you 'off' purchasing a Kedron, but consider a shorter Topender or a kitted out XC which will be lighter a will most defiantly follow behind your 200 series with ease. And to answer the original poster, yes we are more than happy with our Kedron and the after sales service and support is second to none! Which ever way you go.....I will look forward to cing you down the road one day.
  9. Hi Mark, Welcome to the forum, WOW this sounds like some sort of van......with the extras your talking about. I bet you'll be like a young kid on Christmas Eve, when the delivery day finally arrives. And don't forget.....there is lots of info about Kedron's on these pages......if you can't find what your looking for .....just simply ask and one of our very knowledgeable members should be able to assist. Again ....welcome to the forum and looking forward to seeing you and your van down the road one day....soon Regards Tony H
  10. Hi Leon, With anything like a strange noise, I would suggest having it checked out professionally, with all due respect to Rick (above) and anybody else who replies we are only guessing an answer and defiantly can't hear it. Remember......A little 'check' now....is better than a big 'cheque' later. Hope you get it sorted quickly.
  11. I think the 'ordinary' garden hose is your problem.... My two cents worth.
  12. The McHitch auto coupler works VERY well for me?
  13. Hi Steve, Ditto to Merv's comments.......don't be backward in coming forward in asking any questions you may have. Very envious of your travels......we are stuck at 'homebase' for the moment......enjoy your travels!
  14. Hi Srettman, Welcome to the this forum. I bet your like a kid on Christmas Eve waiting for your new 200 to arrive! I'm fairly sure that in the owners manual it states not to tow anything for the first 800 k's.......just so the tranny can settle in. I think you will find that first 800 k's will be 'racked' up fairly quickly.......running around showing off your new baby to family & friends. Enjoy ur new truck it will pull your XC with ease. Hope to cu down the road one day.
  15. Hi Murray, Welcome to the forum! Great news you have purchased a Kedron, wishing you many happy trips in it. You will find lots of info on this site, re care and mods you can do to ur van. Dont be afraid to ask any questions, if your unsure about anything! I will PM you about your Clearview enquiry. CU down the road.
  16. Sandra & Mal, I just want to echo Lea's comments.....and any questions don't hesitate to ask CU down the road.
  17. Hi John, I believe,...... but will stand corrected, it is illegal (& also very dangerous) to carry jerry cans on the rear of a van or any vehicle for that matter.
  18. Hi Allen & Colleen, Welcome to this forum. If you do a search on Lithium Batteries (on this site) I'm sure you will find what you need to know in regards to selection, setup & performance. i don't recall to much correspondence on the 'fire' issue..... but I would to think, that has been resolved.
  19. As previously mentioned, if you are going to leave the trailer mate mounted on the drawer bar when traveling MAKE SURE the base plate will not 'hit' anything and rig up a securing cable/strap to stop the 'ram' creeping down. i speak with authority & real life experience on this as it cost me a new trailer mate, clamp and welding to fix up my blunder! Travel safe
  20. Hi Karen & Paul, From your description you need to go Bunnings, go to plumbing section you need SKU number 5001727 which is a 1.5 meter stainless double lock shower hose for the princely sum of $12.25...... I reckon even a bank johnney could fit that up.....lol Travel safe Tony & Annie
  21. Hi Chris, You don't state if your after 17" or 18"..... either way have a look at Toyo AT 2's (Open Country). I have been using these now for many years and had very good service from them........on my last three 200's Grandtrecks.......just the name of them sends a shiver down my spine.
  22. This is what a forum is for.....helping one another......great work!!
  23. Hi Bob & Janine, Ditto to Sue's comments, yes Browns mountain is steep......just drive to the conditions and you will be fine. My suggestion for what it's worth......select third gear, monitoring your speed......try and keep speed around 50kph OR what ever your comfortable with......just touching the brake when required to maintain desired speed. Browns mountain for me was the opposite story......we were going up the mountain towing the van with our first 200, the tug was performing beautifully until almost at the top when the electronics decided to go into limp mode....but that's another story!
