    Hema HN7

Hi Chris, Do a search on You Tube there are lots of Hema tutorials there, I love my HN7 had it for probably two years now......still learning to use it.....lol
  2. Hi Sue & all reading the above post..... If you have difficulty contacting the above number....... to enquire or confirm attendance for this function, use this email address below. peter@shadcivil.com.au Safe travels CU down the road Tony
  3. Hi Andrew & Sally, Its been a long time between drinks, I trust you are both well & happy. I see on FB you have been entertaining Jane, Penny & Nev.....we are looking forward to catching up with them also in then next couple of weeks. Reading your post above, I appreciate your comments and concerns, you say you have weighbridge tickets & 'acceptance' from Ken Tame....... I understand & truely believe that you have your van serviced regularly & it is subject to yearly rego inspections & it is 'roadworthy'..... noting that there has been no direct discussion about roadworthiness. But, I'm a little 'miffed' that .... if you where stopped/or directed to pull over by RMS or another eqivilent authority ....you would produce a weighbridge ticket stating your weight ...DATED ??? My understanding ( and I will stand corrected) is that a weighbridge ticket only has a 'life' for a certain time (hours) and distance from the issuing point. (please understand I'm not suggesting that you are towing overweight) Cheers & hugs for Sally Tony & Annie
  4. Hi Scruffypants, Welcome to the forum, sad to hear of your dilemmas with your other van purchase.....but at least you now have some $'s in your pocket to possibly buy a Kedron. With any used van purchase, can I respectively suggest you have it professionally checked over prior to purchase..... yes even a Kedron with 13 years of possibly unknown history behind it. It could save a lot of heartache later. The absolute minimum you should have done before your first adventure in the 'new' van should be a bearing & brake service. Any reputable trailer or caravan service centre could perform this service for you. if you have a look at this site, just viewing one post after another or doing a specific search you will find heaps of info.......if you can't find it, don't be afraid to ask......we are a very friendly group here & we don't bite! Looking forward to meeting you at a gathering or on the road one day. Tony & Annie
  5. Chris, I always enjoy reading your trip reports, they are very informative & entertaining. Safe travels to you & Val.....looking forward to the day we finally meet.
  6. Hi Cargo5, Welcome to the forum, ask as many questions as you can.......hopefully we can answer them & your choice (eventually) will be a Kedron! With your 'tug' being a Colorado..... a great little truck ......one of the smaller vans will be more than suitable to being towed behind such a vehicle. What geographic area are you from/reside? I can see you only posted this thread only a few hours ago..... I would like to think that given a day or two more you will have feedback from members with similar vans to which you are enquiring/interested about. Please, when you have time.....have a look through this site and possibly a lot of your questions will be answered. Looking forward to cing you down the road one day. Safe travels.
  7. Hi Gary & Alison, Welcome to the forum, & to the wonderful world of owning a Kedron. Very much looking forward to meeting you at a gathering or on the road somewhere. Travel safe!
  8. All you Chev owners are a bad influence....... I have dug deep.....and located a new vehicle a 2015 GMC Denali in Vancouver, (in the colour & trim we like). Performax are doing the conversion for me as geographically it makes sense, we will be living in Maryborough. I have been (so far) .........impressed with the Performax operation/experience, hopefully this will continue! I expect delivery to me in approximately three months??????? I would also like to mention John Bakker from American Victorian Imports @ Traralgon, although I didn't purchase the vehicle through him (as he couldn't locate the colour/trim we wanted) he runs a very professional operation, & I would have no hesitation in recommending him. I plan on purchasing my new front bar from John, which he designed & will be some recompense for him in exchange for the hours he freely gave me. So I have a tricked up 2013 VX diesel for sale.......any offers or info get back to me. Im as excited as a young kid on Christmas Eve....... lol CU down the road

    sat phone

Ob1, Hi, I have / use a Sat Sleeve in conjunction with my iPhone 6. It use the Thuraya satellite as opposed to the Iridium satellite ( as previously mentioned). For me, it works well, reception does start to drop off if you go below an imaginary line from the Victorian border to Perth......north of that NO dramas at all. Calls are charged at $1 pm & $15 pm connection fee. The feature I like most about the Sat Sleeve is that it is Bluetooth compatible...... You turn the sleeve on, place it outside with the antenna up facing the western sky & you can use the phone up to 30 meters away from the 'sleeve' Service is provided by Pivotel, I have had no dramas with Pivotel or the sat sleeve. Do you self a favour and have a look at www.pivotel.com.au then click on sat sleeve
  10. Hi Nigel & Deb, Welcome to the KOG forum, here's hoping to meeting you on the road one day soon...enjoy your van, anything your not sure about do a search on the forum or just simply ask. Best wishes Tony & Annie
  11. I would seriously think about a slight diversion to Brendale.....which in the overall scheme of things isn't too far out of the way Enjoy your 'lap'.....?
  12. Hi Sam & Fee, Welcome to to the KOG site, I hope you will find us, a friendly lighthearted group. I personally, as many readers of this post hope that you will become a Kedron owner! When you have have time browse through the MANY threads on this site & get a feel for the group & product !!!!! If you have ANY questions .....please ask. It is a big decision, and many hours will be spent deliberating on choices & layouts. Being so far from the factory (your in WA) this site can/will.... have/great influence on your overall decision. Looking forward to seeing & possibly answering any questions you may have! I would like to think that other WA members will introduce themselves.....you never know they may literally be around the corner from you & be able to assist you in the decision making process! CU down the road Tony

  15. Great to hear about a product supplier/distributor standing by their product & not turning their back on you & also thanks to you for spreading the good word........ makes it a little easier for us plebs when we have to make a choice about a similar product or service.
  16. Greg, David & Kerry, A very warm welcome to 'KOG', you have a great van & joined a great family, I/we do hope you enjoy this site, you will find out a lot about the Kedron lifestyle here! Dont be backward in coming forward.... in asking questions.!!! Hope to cu down the road

  20. Hi Karen, Ditto to Peters comments, get Paul to grab a small shifter (6") & undo/remove the broken base of the nipple & take to Repco or similar to match, just screw new one in doesnt have to be all that tight...... even a 'bank johnny' (Paul) could do that. If the nipple has boken off 'below' the 'hex' you will need to use an 'ezy out' or a left hand fluted twist drill to remove the remaining part, probably something Paul wouldnt have in his bag of tricks & would mean a trip (with the van) to a mechainics shop. should only cost a few dollars OR bring it over here & I'll fix it for you in a flash! LOL Miss you guys.....travel safe!
  21. 'Clearviews' .........PM me you delivery postcode for a redhot price
  22. Pretty much agree with Merv...... Carefully remove plugs/caps from window surround with a fine blade screwdriver or similar. Remove screws, the inner frame will come away with the blind assembly (as it is attached to it), clean out any foreign debris out of the guides & a squirt of silicon spray on the ends of the rollers as Sue has suggested..... once you have done this & can see/understand how it works you may be able to get away with a simple 'spray' as Sue suggests.
  23. A bracket made out of mild steel & painted with a suitable product should suffice.....S/S bit of an overkill??? Kakadu's mounting looks OK
  24. Hi Colin, In the link to Diesel Care I think the first example they show is a 'post' filter, but below that is an example of a setup showing the auxiliary filter as a 'pre' filter....definitely the way to go. Best to have the higher' micron filter taking out all the 'big & wet' stuff first before it gets to the primary/factory filter. I cannot see ANY benefit in putting a 2 micron filter AFTER the factory filter which will be about the same rating as the factory unit. Cheers As each passes its one day closer to an american truck sitting in my shed..........
