  8. Roamer .....thanks for the post....interesting Facebook page Tassie..... I have to agree with John (Blinky Bill) yes I/we choose a Kedron & me personally am very happy with my choice. I really don't think that it matters all that much what van you have as long as your vertical & breathing enjoying this magical country & life of ours. I can understand your comment, & when you take delivery of your Kedron & really get into the spirit of things.....you should/may mellow out I can see from your posting status that you are a fairly new member (welcome to the group by the way)
  9. Here in the 'Hunter'..... Mud Wasp season has started..... don't know about the rest of Oz! For the uninitiated it is time to cover all small openings on your van as these wasps will build nests in these openings, blocking & damaging anything they can in order to continue their cycle of life Last year I 'lost' my drinking water tank to a wasp nest..... I was filling the tank, it seemed to be taking a long time to fill..... then all of a sudden BANG the tank exploded a frigging wasp had built a nest in the tip of the tank breather pipe, blocking the breather & causing the pressure to build up in the tank. What Im going to do is cover all three tank vents with a 'wrap' of gaffa tape, this will stop the buggers & when I fill the tanks next the tape will fall away. I'll also be covering the heater inlet & exhaust along with the waste water outlets
  10. Yes it is another GM vehicle.... If you were to book it in at a Ford/Toyota dealer for a straight service, in today's economic climate I feel they would be happy to service it also, bearing in mind that they wouldn't have as easy access to factory service bulletins & procedures. But very easily obtainable on the internet. Just a feeling I have Col, bearing in mind I have been in the trade for toooo many years now.....the 'truck' service is now done & everything is up to date..... so all is good, can I suggest you keep your ear to the ground & look out for an independent repairer who will have or should have (more?) experience than a drippy nosed dealership apprentice. My experience (for what its worth) leads me to believe you should pay less per hour for his services/knowledge OR at least get a whole lot more per hour! Your vehicle is now out of its warranty period, so you shouldn't feel tied to a GM dealership, but if you get comfort, service & satisfaction from them, then that is good & reassuring for you! Many vehicle owners are bluffed into believing that they must take their pride & joy back to a dealership for service during the warranty period..... this is just a ploy by ALL manufactures. As long as the vehicle is serviced by a licensed repairer, using genuine parts there is NO way warranty can be denied. I'm very happy to hear that you are 'settling' into your new vehicle, my tyre kicking exercises continue..... re the possibility of a new 'tug' Hugs for Gayleen
  11. Hi Brenton & Lyn, On my van I removed the Engel (leaving the slide in place) from one of the side lockers & mounted it in the rear of the Toyota. I then put my Baby Q in that locker, & it is simply & very successfully secured with just an oky strap. Slide the baby q out. remove strap turn baby q 90 degrees connect gas line and your in business, reverse process to store away. I've never had a problem with 'leaking or messy fat'.....but you get a slight smell of the fat in the locker only noticeable when you open the locker door & it very quickly dissipates.

  13. Hi Danny, Congrats on your upcoming purchase.......what I find a little weird is your spending 125k plus & only doing this research days before you pick it up. I'm sure your new Chev will be a great vehicle........... Im currently looking/doing the research on a new Ftruck..... will keep buying lotto tickets :D
  14. UPDATE..... I made contact with Camec (@ Caringbah 95252588) couple of months ago asked about a replacement LED light panel, nothing in stock but some are on the way. Long story short..... new light panel arrived a few days ago, very simple procedure to change. The difference in light out put is fantastic..... you can actually see what is in the fridge now LOL Part number on the bag the light came in is 003175 & marked Vitri LED Light Assembly, I don't know if this is a Camec or Vitri part number although this is the number used on the sales receipt. Cost was $66.90 delivered...not cheap but is makes a huge difference.
  15. Hi Colin & Gayleen, Sorry to hear about your woes:-( Are you getting both head gaskets (as in the other bank) replaced?

I run 50psi in the van tyres. (on the blacktop) Hope this helps
  20. Hi Michael, Did you get out of bed on the wrong side the other day.......chill out mate, life is far to short to be upset & as John has already said it is not the KOGGERS way to respond the way you have. One day also, you may meet Peter he is a great bloke....I hope you buy him a beer to make up. Sitting behind a keyboard, typing a question or a reply it is possible that yours or the readers interpretation of your question/reply, can/could be 'lost' in the typing. Again if you type dust ingress into the search box (top right hand corner of this page) you will get a minimum of 9 discussions with the subject of dust ingress in them, this is were you will find answers to your questions. Its not that we are not interested or concerned about you or your problems, but this is why there is a search function on this site to save you time & grief over 'problems' that have been discussed MANY times before.....the search function is a great tool. You could also advise if your van has a rear or side kitchen as there are problems with dust especially on rear kitchens. CU down the road

    Brissie

Just a suggestion, & maybe worth a try..... do you need any work (repairs/maintenance) done on the van... why not 'leave' the van & car at the factory if its only for a few days
