  1. Hi all A fellow traveler gave us this mixture for cassette toilets. For cleaning cassette. 75Grams of Citric acid into 2 Ltrs of water. Add enough into cassette to slush arround, then empty out. Was stated that should only have to do this once if you use this mixture from then on. 50ml Borax, 50ml Brown Pine o cleen ,50ml Cloudy Amonia, added to 1 ltr of water (Borax will need to be disolved in hot water.) Add 1 cup full of this to cassette. We tried it for the last 4 or so empties ,and it seemes to work quite well, but am not to sure how friendly it is ?. All ingrediance are readily available at most supermarkets. Regards Mal and Kerry.
  2. Hi Collin We had the same problem when we first picked up our van, and yes the fuse is in the box . the front of the box clips off and you will be able to see it. I remember it was a mini fuse but i can't recall what size it was, but i do remember the front of the case was a mongrel thing to replace . Regards MAL.

Hi REECE We had the same problem with our 2400 Yamy when we were camping at Inskip , under light load the thing was hunting so bad it was to bloody anoying to have on. As soon as we put a load on (air con or sandwich maker)it would rev up and run perfectly. We put it in to the local yamaha service agent, who immediately changed the fuel and said to put an additive in it as prtrol starts to break down within a couple of months and leaves a sticky gum on the butterfly. He also said that the 2400 Yamaha has a tendancy to hunt a little under a light load , and some people are putting a heavier spring behind the govenor butterfly to alleviate the problem. We haven't needed to use it since ,but have started it up and pluged it in, and although it isn't perfect it is about 90% better. I now make a habit of starting it up every so often an letting it run for about 5 mins or so. Regards Mal and Kerry.
  4. HI Chris Helin and Eric at the show Ground No is PH 0459023346 Regards Mal and KERRY.
  5. HI ALL we are currently at Forest Beach near Ingham QLD, enjoying the not so good weather , but we can't complain as we have had fantastic sunny days for a while now and were getting quite used to it . We spent a couple of weeks at Wuruma Dam ,before heading north to Banana then up to Emerald ,Charters Towers, Townsville and then here to visit Grand Kids . We intend staying a couple of weeks (I intend checking out the Mud Crabs that were just under size at our last visit) before heading off to Winton, Longreach,Hughenden, Mount Isa, aria for a couple of mts. Gnomeo and Juliette have been tagging along, he is much more socially acceptable now that I have re attached his finger. Hope every one is enjoying themselves as much as we are ,and will catch up again soon. Regards Mal and Kerry. PS. Deb , Kerry wants you to ask Glen if he has checked his Retirement Count Down Calculator lately.
  6. Hi all I would be interested in an answer to Pete and Traceys question also ( re contaminated fuel damage) , as our insurance is due in a couple of months, and with a V8 200 series with 8 injectors your talking big dollars if you get a gut full of crap. any info would be appreciated. regards Mal and Kerry.
  7. HI LEA and RICK. Me thinks me can underconstumbel that now. If the bugs start geting the best of us we will know people who can fix the problem. LOL. In the house we used to spray the screens with Toxic waste ( surface spray ) it seamed to work ok, but now we try to limit it's use. Hope to catch up again in the not to distant future. Regards MAL and KERRY.
  8. Hi LEA AND RICK As a ex polly use to say Please explain! what job does a furry worm do ? maybe a pickie might help me . Regards MAL AND KERRY.
  9. yes I guess I would make the same gesture if someone droped me on my head. The good news is we found his finger under the car, or at least we think it's a finger and not some other part of his anatomy. anyway we will glue it on and hope for the best. Regards MAL AND KERRY.
  10. HI ALL Well Kerry and I have just been up in the Biloela district for a family wedding ,and we had some time to kill before it started so we decided to check out the Silo museum. When i opened the back door of the tug to get our camera out ,gnomeo fell out and landed on the ground . I picked him up and decided to take him in and get a couple of picks to send to the grandkids. After taking two i decided to see how they turned out. imagine our surprise when we discovered that insted of Gnomeo giving his usual international sign for peace, his message took on a whole new meaning. So is he trying to express his true feelings in his own SPOOKY way.
  11. Hi all Yes frendly William is still there. he certainly is a bundel of joy . But the good news is he is leaving at the end of the month. When we got to the show grounds and went up to the caretakers cottage a sign on the door said( WE ARE CLOSED ,CARETAKER IN CARAVAN PHONE ECT. ECT.) so i headed back out the gate i came in, and there was a chap sitting in a chair under his awning, so i greeted him with a, good day mate are you the caretaker? His answer was NO i just like sitting around, waddyer want. defenatly a happy chappy (NOT) but after talking to him for a while he wasn't to bad. But time for him to move on. Regards Mal And Kerry.
  12. Hi Lea and Rick We won't be there until monday about lunch time ,so i will let you know. We can tell him they were recomended because of the frendly service provided. Regards Mal.
  13. Hi Glen and Debbie Thanks for the phone numbers , Kerry has just spoken to Brian Andrews Re staying at the showgrounds and he said he would inform the caretaker for us. He thought price was $17 per night and max stay of 3 weeks ,he also thinks a price of $20 a night is not far away. But even at $20 a night it's still cheap ,and is nice and handy to every thing we need. Thanks again, Regards Mal And kerry.
  14. Thanks Laurie and Helen and Tony. That's a couple of options for us , and is much appreciated thanks again. Regards Mal and Kerry.
  15. HI ALL We are booked in to Kedron factory on the 14th to get our new Awning and a few other things done, and would appreciate some ideas on places to stay before and after that, around that not to far away area as they want our van first thing in morning and probably won't get it back until late the next afternoon. any ideas would be appreciated. Regards Mal And Kerry.
  16. Hi Brad We have a 200 Series Landcruser , and it tows our 21'6 ATV like a dream. not sure about the Jeep. Regards Mal and Kerry.
  17. Hello again sue Depends where you are in Hervey Bay . Some places the bities will pick you up and take you back to thier home (to finish you off later). Especilly around River Heads, and at any time of day as well. But over all not really a problem. We won't be spending a lot of time in the Bay for a while as we are on the road full time now , or at least until we get tired of it . (as if that is going to happen) At the moment we are in Ingham spending Christmass with the grand kids, the midges arn't a problem but the mossies are pretty fearce,so bushmans all around. WE will most likely leave Ingham just after new year, and won't be back for aprox 8 months so those muddies should be good by then . Regards Mal and Kerry.
  18. Mud crabs sounded pretty good for christmass, so we put 4 pots in yesterday morning (eairly),went back late in the afternoon for a totel of 24 muddies . To good to be true ,I hear you say. well we got 24 all right, every one a wisker under legal size . So how quick do these tasety morsels grow ? Obviously as soon as they get to correct size somebody has them on there plate. Regards Mal and Kerry.
  19. Hi Sue, Not sure what caused it , as it wasn't very windy . The other vans next to us had Awnings set up the same as we did and had no problems and I would have thought it should take a fair bit of force to bend that aluminium section like it did . Iam thinking that when we have the new one fitted I might drill another hole in the middle of that section next to the hole for the roof stiffener and have a brace from there to the ground ,considering I now have a few adjustable bits left over from the old one it can't do any harm ,and it might save a few headaches next time we find ourselves in another bad storm. Thanks for the offer of a loner , a bit far away from Ingham QLD but it would be a good excuse to head off to Karratha for a visit MERRY CHRISTMASS to all from Mal and Kerry.
  20. Fair Dinkim ! last wednsday night about midnight we were peacfully sleaping when two storms cells decided to merge right on top of our keddy . Thunder and Lightning like we've never heard before . there was no way I was going out in that, and about half an hour later down went the awning. I was more conserned that the awning would be blown upwards so i had the usual ropes and pegs holding it down, but NO the bloody thing caved in down ways. the funny thing was there didn't seam to be much wind ,anyway the thing is stuffed ,can't even get the awning top or the tetryline wall out of the aluminiun tube. we have been in contact with the insurance company (CIL) and tom at kedron and will have a new awning fitted when we return from Ingham to brisbane. P.S Apart from that we are having a fantastic time, should have retired ages ago Happy thoughts Mal and Kerry
  21. Hello ALL WE were just thinking the same thing Rod . We haven't been able to get time to be on the site of late, due to handing over our Buisness after the sale, and down sizing from house to van. we are now all most finished, and finally moved from the house to the Keddy permanently . currently at the Windmill Caravan Park Hervey Bay , Will be here for 2 weeks before heading to Wuruma Dam for about 1 week . So if anybody is in Hervey Bay , or will be around Eidsvold we would love to hear from you. Ps I am now officially a senior citizen so i can use that as an excuse when something goes wrong. Regards Mal and Kerry.
  22. Thanks guys for your best wishers. ROD we would love to go to cecil Planes but we will be leaving Hervey Bay at the end of November and spending a few days at Waruma Dam and then visiting two brothers at Billowela before heading up to forest beach to have Christmass with the grand kids. So hope we can catch up when we head south eairly next year. STEVE AND KEZ congratulations to you both , very exciting times, did yoy have any trouble down sizeing from a house to a van? Kerry is doing an excelant job , the storage shed isn"t full yet. HAPPY THOUGHTS MAL AND KERRY.
