We had the 240/12 volt switch on our 2008 ATV.The purpose of the switch was to change your van lights to run off 240 volts when connected to 240v. EG caravan parks etc. When you are running lights of your solar system you switch it back to 12 volts. Ours died about 5yrs. ago Kedron disconnected the system ( somehow) and it is now redundant. As regards to the remark about Kedron not supplying a wiring diagram with the vans. Does anyone know if ANY manufacturer does?

G`day John. Our first set of batteries were Fullriver and we got 6 yrs.out of them.Happy with that. Our current set is Rittar and if we get another 6 out if them , I will be even happier.Where did you get your Li battery quote from? Kedron quoted us about $5000 to update to Li. I am still to be convinced about the longevity of Li technology . Cheers Rick

G`day Gordon & Chris I think you would have to be very,very unlucky to be booked for that "offence"??.There was a kerfufle on another forum about it about a month ago. The bottom line was that no one on the forum (50000 members) had actually been booked personally,but there was the usual"my next door neighbours uncles ,sons etc." So bottom line ,as long as it is not obscured from behind you should be OK. After Quasimodo's death, the Bishop of the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris, France sent word through the streets of Paris that a new bell ringer was urgently needed. The Bishop decided that he would conduct the interviews personally and went up into the belfry to begin the screening process. After observing several applicants demonstrate their skills over a long period, he decided to call it a day and to continue the interviewing process the following day. Just then, an armless Frenchman approached him and announced that he was there to apply for the bell ringer's job. The Bishop was incredulous. But, you have no arms, Monsieur !' 'No matter,' said the man. 'Observe me, Excellency !' And, pushing his way past the Bishop, he began striking the bells with his ugly face, producing a most beautiful melody on the carillon. The Bishop listened in astonishment convinced he had found a sensational replacement for Quasimodo. But, suddenly, as he rushed forward to strike the bells again in encore, the armless Frenchman tripped over a mallet and plunged headlong out of the belfry window to his death in the street far below. The stunned Bishop rushed down two hundred and ninety five church steps to reach the street. A crowd had by now gathered around the fallen figure, drawn by the beautiful music they had heard only moments before. As they silently parted to let the Bishop through, one of them asked, 'Bishop sir, who was this man ?' 'I don't know his name,' the Bishop sadly replied........ ( scroll down .........) .................. BUT HIS FACE RINGS A BELL !' WAIT ! WAIT ! There's more.... The following day, despite the sadness that weighed heavily on his heart due to the unfortunate death of the armless campanologist, the Bishop continued his interviews for the bell ringer of Notre Dame. The first man to approach him said, 'Your Excellency, I am the brother of the poor armless wretch who fell to his death from this very belfry yesterday. I pray that you honour his life by allowing me to replace him in this duty.' The Bishop agreed to give the man an audition, but, as the armless man's brother stooped to pick up a heavy mallet to strike the first bell, he groaned, clutched at his chest, twirled around, and died of heart failure on the spot. Two monks, hearing the Bishop's cries of anguish at this second shocking tragedy, rushed up the stairs to his side. 'What has happened ? Who is this man?' the first monk asked, breathlessly. 'I don't know his name,' sighed the now distraught Bishop, 'but...' 'HE'S A DEAD RINGER FOR HIS BROTHER. "

G`Day Ian We had the original McHitch fitted using the 6 tonne ,because there was only 3.5 and 6 tonne available back then . We recently had the hitch converted to a Mc Hitch Easy hitch. Joe supplied us with roller bearings for the WDH ,and so far we have crushed 2 sets. So tried without WDH Did not seem to make any difference to the towing ,so now we don`t use them.I still keep them handy just in case.We tow a 7 yr. old ATV 20 ft.Weighing in at 3.4 tonnes fully loaded. Weighed at Maryborough Qld. 2 weeks ago.

Interesting read Colin. I would tend to agree with the bloke who runs all 3 brands in his business. Comments below article. The look under the bonnet of all 3 trucks is scary. It looks liked they have had an explosion of some sort. (plumbers nightmare). It is a pity they don`t give the Toyota Tundra a thought.

Hi Sue I've just passed a thoroughly enjoyable half hour looking through your photos. I totally agree with Tolley that your photos are not amateurish at all. They are very clear and give great details of the birds involved. I particularly loved the Purple-crowned Fairy Wren on the rear view mirror. They can be quite cheeky. G`Day Tony Have you put Toyos on your van or just the tug? I still have the original Goodyears on the van but they are 6+ yrs. old.Looking to replace them because of age even though the tread is not to bad. What sort of mileage have you got out of the Toyos? Cheers RICK

G`Day GraemeY Like most flat screen TVs our sound was also crap. Purchased a mini speaker called a Cube from JB Hifi about a year ago. It is very good and plugs into the 12 volt TV.in the earphone socket and is powered by the T. V. through a USB port. Cheers Rick & Lea

G`Day Reece I had the flat hoses some time back and ended up chucking them in the bin ,for the same reasons that Anne has given.I now use food grade hose and sull age hose.They seemed like a good idea at first. Cheers Rick
