  1. Have a look at this.... http://www.bunnings.com.au/cyclone-1220mm-miniweave-insect-screen-lineal-metre_p4110198
  2. Hi Pete & Vera, Welcome to KOG, You will find lots of info here, on this site to help, assist & sometimes confuse (lol)......don't be afraid to ask questions. Hope to meet you down the road. Tony & Annie.
  3. I Love the large size font for our 'old' eyes.....lol
  4. Hi Stewart, Hopefully this will help/assist you, sorry I'm not familiar with your setup as I have the 'new' auto coupler setup. >https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aXuzcBtWQWE or contact Joe http://www.mchitch.com.au/#!contact/cdds
  5. Hi Colin, What you are considering, I think is a very good idea & I certainly worth doing as I have done on this & previous vehicles. Especially with today's Common Rail Diesels operating under VERY pressure with micro sized injection nozzles, they more prone to failure & expensive repair bills than older style systems. With regular servicing.....this is a MUST the possibility of a problem can be greatly reduced. So the fitting of an extra filter can only be a benifit!! Make sure it is fitted before the factory filter & I would suggest a filter with a rating of around 30 microns (your factory filter should have a rating of about 2 to 5 microns) so by fitting this secondary filter you could expect a longer service life from your factory filter. You will/should replace the secondary filter at approx 10k intervals & change your factory filter every 20k. The secondary filters (Stanadyne type) are relatively cheap compared to factory units & are easily sourced from a wide range of suppliers. On the subject of the existing fuel pump not being able to 'pump' through an additional filter.....I will stand corrected......BUT I dont believe you will/should encounter ANY problems ONLY benefits! Look for a filter that can separate solids & WATER Here's a starting point for you. http://www.dieselcare.com.au/service/filtration-systems/?gclid=CLiGoaXa4cgCFQuBvQodSkUGSA#which-kit
  6. Hi Brian, Check out these links, great stuff on the 'windows' also the best product out for polishing the chequerplate, but you have to use 'step one' first for BEST results on the metal finish. Its great also for cleaning the floor of the shower, brings it up like new! (with a bit of elbow grease) Any shiney metal surface appearance is improved/enhanced with this product, I also use it on the stainless metal on the stove top! https://www.autobarn.com.au/california-custom-original-purple-metal-polish-355ml http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/like/171897693592?limghlpsr=true&hlpht=true&ul_noapp=true&hlpv=2&chn=ps&lpid=107&ops=true&viphx=1

  8. Hi John, Here is what I have done..... Our van has single beds, so we have cupboard between them. I now have a CPAP machine which needs 240v to operate so when we are free camping I need an inverter I bought one of these http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/360822848840 (bit of an overkill to run the CPAP but it will/has capacity to run other devices) I mounted it in the front locker above the battery charger, hard wired to battery then made up an 'extension lead' fitted/inserted it into the three pin GPO of the inverter, then drilled a 10mm hole in the 'floor' of the cupboard threaded/ran the cable through the hole & then mounted a three pin GPO on the outside of the cupboard beside my bed. If you would like photos send me an SMS zero four one two 415466
  9. Hi Merv & Jim Merv, With that aerial mounting bracket & the size (length) & weight of the aerial doesn't the mount flex & potentially crack & damage the paintwork? Jim, Have a look at this link https://www.autoelec.com.au/ssl/public_autoelec/store_v4/product_detail.asp?id=1351&cat=49 CU down the road....
  10. Hi Leon, We have the same problem/dilemma. My fix, rather than going out to the front locker and flicking the switch......I just simply turn off the '240v main switch' in my case next to the fridge, before going to bed & turning back on in the morning when I need to put the kettle on. NO dramas at all ....the silence is deafening.....lovely!
  11. Just googled 'diesel heater fuel tank cap' RV Parts Express page came up........frigging hell they want $56........ better get the one from Kedron. As your van is only 'young' I would speak nicely (not that you haven't) to Ashley & as this item isn't what I would call a popular/regular consumable item, he may be able to 'wangle' one from Dometic for you as in a warranty claim. It is unusual for a cap to split..........have you been over tightening it? DOMETIC FUEL TANK CAP FOR DIESEL HEATER. 12. Hi Geoff, As Merv has suggested an LED upgrade is a fairly easy task & well worth investigating, with much lower power consumption & better light output. The team at Springers @ Lawnton I found to be ready & willing to offer advise & assistance...... good guys Usual disclaimer. No affiliation with them......lol
  13. Trevor & Hazel, Welcome to KOG. Prospecting, photography & fishing you list as you hobbies, I'm very confident you will find many members of KOG who have the same interests as you. As you have mentioned or alluded to there is a lot of reading to be done on this site, when you get a chance have a read there is lots of very relevant info for Kedron owners and the general outdoors. You will find this a friendly easy going forum, your questions & contributions will be welcomed. Are you on the road full time .....or where abouts do you hail from...where's your 'home paddock'? I hope to meet you one day on the road somewhere or at a Kedron gathering! Travel safe, & again ... welcome
  14. Laugh out loud, How could you ignore the price difference.... it's huge.......just think about lounging on a sunny tropical island (with a drink in hand) when handing out your hard earned dollars. Looking forward to hearing which way you go.
  15. Hi Kerry, My two bobs worth..... If you piggy back a new fan on to of the old one...... the old/original fan is going to cause an obstruction greatly reducing the effectiveness of the new fan. Would suggest you find a tech who knows what he is doing.....
  16. Yep, Derek Bester @ ABR [Affordable Batteries & Radiators] www.sidewinder.com.au (not to be confused with ARB) gets my tick also as a supplier of good gear at sensible prices, not that I have had to, but I believe his warranty backup/service is something that other companies are envious of. The dealings I have had with him have always been very prompt & courteous. Usual disclaimer I have no affiliation with ABR other than being a happy customer.:-)
  17. Can I suggest that, if you don't already belong to LCOOL.org ( www.lcool.org ) you join, its a great forum free to join & there are several threads on this very subject in the 200 series section, re pump selection & mounting. I'm also sure you will get feedback here on this forum. Here's a link to LCOOL for the mounting bracket (when you join) http://www.lcool.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=39638 CU down the road
  18. Hi Roly & Janice, A bit more info please, do you just want to pump up the occasional tyre or run air tools. What sort of 'tug' do you have, do you have space limitations? Here's a start... http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.Xair+compressors+12v.TRS0&_nkw=air+compressors+12v&_sacat=0 Please note this is only a starting point, suggest you do a bit of research quality & longevity of some of these units!!!
  19. Hi Barramundi, I think you may have made a blue with the phone number...... too many digits Can I also suggest when you post the corrected number that you 'spell' the first few numbers as in zero four three two 123456 it just makes it harder for scammers to 'pick' up on the number and annoy Julie!!!!!!!. I know +61 is the code for Oz.....its not required for calls within Australia. It sounds like a top gig for someone over that way, hopefully someone will take it up. Just had another look at the phone number .....I'm guessing you meant zero four three two 435494? Cheers
