  1. Hi, Can I suggest you google.... dieselheat they are in Hobart. Graham Yost is the guy to contact there. A more knowledgeable person re diesel heating would be hard to find, and he can source any part or service requirements you need. Graham has helped me out a couple of times...... he gets my 'tick'
  2. Hi John, Thanks for the post,I'm certainly up to speed now re battery storage. Happy new year??????
  3. Great detective work Chris and Val, A day you don't learn something new is a day wasted......so they say! Happy new year to all....stay safe???????
  4. Hi Chris, Thanks for the reply, hopefully Rod will be able to make contact with Terry at this crazy time of the year! The batteries you have in your shed....... I hope you have them sitting 'off' the floor? Batteries, do not like sitting on concrete floors.......(just in case you or Val didn't know ?) Cheers and happy new year ?
  5. Hi Rob, Can I suggest you get in touch with fellow member Chris and Val Marts, they are/reside in the Barossa area. They have just had extensive work done to their electrics by a wiz bang sparky......somewhere near them. He will be able to test and identify the 'faulty' battery and be able to advise you from there. it is a pity you have a problem, when you have replaced all the batteries recently. There is a fair chance Chris will see this post and respond to you directly. Travel safe & happy new year ??
  6. To all members and friends of the Kedron Owners Group, Annie & I would like to wish you all, a very safe, happy and joyful Christmas. May the new year bring you new roads to travel and new sites to see and enjoy!?
  7. Hi Graeme & Ann, Welcome to KOG! Lots of info here on this site with friendly co members always willing to share their Kedron experiences. Just a suggestion, you may want to update your ownership status & fill in a few of the missing details/blanks on your profile? Enjoy the Tamworth Country Music Festival ?? Wishing you a safe and happy Christmas CU down the road
  8. Thanks for the kind words.....where's your Smart Bar or are you being smart and not getting one now????.....lol
  9. Hi Terry, My 'two bobs' worth! Have a look at this, http://www.haymanreese.com.au/products/interlock-trailer-ball-mount-with-adjustable-5-hole-and-towball with a hitch like this you can 'set up' the ride height of the van in relation to the tow vehicle, being adjustable, you can 'adjust it' depending on your load and pressue in your airbags (if your still going to have them fitted). Have a look at these listings on eBay, variations on the above http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HAyman-Reese-Towing-hitch-2500kg-/201695604644?hash=item2ef5feafa4:g:yPEAAOSwcLxYCIi~ http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Hayman-Reese-V5-Weight-Distribution-Heavy-Duty-Hitch-Bars-340kg-4500kg-/252587890653?hash=item3acf6957dd:g:zKYAAOSwLF1YAyjs My thoughts only, now you have a 200 and with your van being lighter than the average......I really dont think you will need to use WDH bars.....but then thats your call. Cheers stay safe & hugs for Ellie.
  10. Looks great, keem to check it out at Cecil Plains Travel safe!
  11. What a great idea Peter, this can/could turn into a 'great tool' to assist us all. Who can add to this list? And for the sake of uniformity I would suggest following Peter's template. ********* Please remember that KOG can not & does not endorse any product or service******** Cheers and stay safe
  12. Good on you Terry, enjoy your new 'ride'. Very nice looking unit.....get rid of that funny looking snorkel head.....lol Drawers make such a difference carrying all your nick knacks. Whilst your at Gloucester, travel up a little further and stay a few days at Bretti Reserve....a nice place to stay for a few days......BUT don't tell anyone else!!!! Regards to you and Ellie.
  13. Hi Robert 'n' Jane, A little while since I went this way, but the climb up from Gloucester is reasonably steep, but drive to the conditions, you shouldn't have a problem....once your at the top, you'll go through a gate and yes the incline down to Moonan Flat is steep, but again drive to the conditions and you will be fine, time of the year your thinking about this trip you certainly won't have any snow issues......but if it has been raining, check wit the locals in Gloucester first. There is a great free camp behind the Moonan Flat Hotel
  14. Hi Grahame, I also like Steve, used a bit of wire.....an old coat hanger wrapped around the flimsy rubbery aerial......definitely not heritage listed....lol Travel safe!

    Hi Jaap,

If you don't mind, can I please ask why you have withdrawn your van for sale on this site?

    Regards & thanks

Seems to me that I am trying to sell the van to a group of people who already own a Kedron.

Additionally forum guest Pepper requested photos which I did my best to supply. however there was no response, fair enough, but then I noticed that this same forum guest at the end of August was inquiring about Kedron warranty and said they were picking up a second hand van within 48hrs. Some thing doesn't seem right If you have bought a van why inquire about one which has been for sale for some time and could easily be found on caravan sales

We would like to upgrade but not at a silly price a bit like your VX Toyota I think

SO perhaps it is wiser to withdraw the van from this site

You asked and I gave you my perspective

      Regards

  16. Hi Ricky, Yes, I can still supply the quality range of Clearview products.....at very competitive pricing. Please get back to me, with the make, model, build date of your vehicle and delivery postcode also preference for black or chrome mirrors. Mirrors have to be delivered to a physical address.....can't be a P.O. Box. Regards Tony zero four one two 415466
  17. Hi Chris, It is with genuine sadness that I read your resignation above, in the time that I have been a member of the KOG, your input, wisdom and sensible approach to matters (sometimes delicate) have been noted and appreciated. In my position as president of the KOG, you have been a very strong 'spoke' in the wheel of this & past KOG committees. Your input will be greatly missed, and you will leave big shoes to be filled, with a successor! I have to reluctantly accept your resignation, that you have tendered, and would welcome you back as a moderator or any committee position for that matter....when the time 'is right' for you. Although we haven't meet face to face, (it's a big country & we are geographically distant) I do consider you a good friend. I would like to thank you, along with (I'm sure) current & past committee members as well as general members for your friendship, help & promoting of the Kedron Owners Group. Regards & thanks again, Safe travels to you & Val. CU down the road.
  18. Laurie & Webby have said it all.....NO more to say.... The Gall's are fantastic with product support & backup. I don't know about Qld consumer laws, but I would like to think that any paperwork you receive from Kedron with the purchase of your van would reflect some warranty period.....BUT rest assured if your buying a van either new or second hand (from Kedron), the support and help will be there....well after the statutory warranty period. 'Pepper' re your post from yesterday afternoon, when I purchased my new van in October 07 the paperwork at the time stated a twelve month warranty period, nine years YES nine years later Kedron will look at ANY 'fair wear and tear' problem/concern that I have with my van.....if the problem/concern is anyway related to the build of the van it is fixed (properly) in no time with a minimum of fuss, usually FREE OF CHARGE or for a very minimal charge, if you have a concern/problem with a part or component supplied to Kedron that they fitted to your van at the original build or fitted by them (Kedron) post build.....they seem to know the right strings to pull to get you concern/problem FIXED even when well out of the suppliers warranty period. Enjoy your van & welcome to the Kedron family. CU down the road....
  19. Hi Mrs Goody, Welcome to the KOG forum, you will find out lots of info here on these pages about your 'new' van, and if there is something you can't find or are not sure about please ask.......we are a friendly group & don't bite too hard....only joking? Hope to CU down the road one day! Tony
  20. Hi Guy's, My two bobs worth.... Your choice/decision..... about the train coming to the 'east' side. Not knowing anything about your 200...... and its current service history....would like to think it's up to date, so a heap of spares may be unnecessary. My suggestion ... travel around the south east area of Qld...... for as long as you think is reasonable, then back to the factory to 'fix' up any glitches ....that may pop up. (Pine Rivers Showground) is a great place to stay only 10 minutes away from the factory...Helen & Eric are the caretakers there....very friendly people contact there is 0459 023346 As you indicated....this is your first van.....even though it's a Kedron....don't venture too far off the 'black top' UNTIL you feel you are ready to.....crawl before you walk.....makes sense! Bring all the usual stuff with you .....re ....leads, hoses, comfort items etc.... your call....you know what you may or may not need OR want. Please dont.... be afraid to ask as many questions as you wish....there are many willing fellow members here only to happy to assist you in the 'Kedron' experience. Also don't be adverse...in letting other Kedron owners via this forum knowing your plans/travels as you will soon find we are all very keen to welcome new members to the KOG!? Travel safe......looking forward to cing you down the road.....
  21. Hi Allan, Being a financial member has its benefits....a LOT MORE info on the members only pages. All for only $25 pa!! Your location/home paddock sounds idyllic, sure you will get response if you wanted to hold a 'gathering' there. Cheers CU down the road?
  22. Hi Allan, Welcome to the KOG. Plenty of reading here on this forum, to assist you in the Kedron 'experience'. Dont be backward in coming forward and asking anything your not sure about..... CU down the road Tony H
  23. Hi Garry, Welcome to this forum. I personally can't answer your question, but a quick phone call to Joe @ McHitch is the easiest way to go. He is a very easy guy to talk to and freely gives out as much info as you require. Mc Hitch's number is 02 63512533
  24. Thanks for the speedy reply. Do you still have the boxes the shocks came in.....can you let me know the parts numbers, please? I thought about 'blocking' the rear suspension, but my reasoning NOT to do it was the 2" lift is there permanently even with no weight in the truck. Cheers and beers
